MIAMI TWP., Ohio (WDTN) - Officials released calls for help made by terrified witnesses after a man opens fire inside a Miami Township Walgreens.
Police say the suspect stormed the store Saturday, fired a single round from an AK-47 then demanded drugs from the pharmacist.
He was confronted by police as he left the store.
The man fired a shot at an officer, who returned fire, striking the robber twice.
911 Dispatch: He's shooting?
Caller: He shot outside about 5 or 6 times, he's out of the store.
911 Dispatch: Stay on the line with me. Is anybody shot?
Caller: I can't see.
Police say the suspect survived surgery, but has not been charged yet.
His name in not being released right now.
