DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Most children usually have a Christmas list pages long, but not 4-year old Jada Withrow.

She wants others to have a happy and warm holiday season.

"I'm giving hats and mittens to kids who don't have any," said Withrow.

Jada's project started out small, but quickly grew with the help of some Dayton Police officers who collected $600.

"She went shopping with one of our detectives and bought hats, mittens and presents for 47 immigrant refugee children in our community," said Lt. Wendy Stiver, Dayton Police Department.

Jada and the officers had a little help handing out their gifts.  Santa showed up as a holiday treat for the kids.
