Troy teen killed in Miami County crash

NEWTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) - A Troy, Ohio teen died in a single vehicle accident just south of Covington early Friday morning.
Officials at the Miami County Sheriff's Office said 19-year-old Jacqueline St. Myers was killed in the crash on State Route 48 near West Marlin Road in Newton Township.
Deputy Roger Davidson said her red pick-up truck was cold when they arrived just before 2 a.m. which led them to believe the crash happened much earlier.
He said speed is likely the cause of the accident-- combined with the hill and slight curve along that section of Ohio 48.
