PIQUA, Ohio (WDTN) - The Tri-County Child Abduction Response Team conducted a training exercise Saturday morning in Piqua.

The organization held a mock exercise in which agencies partnered together to search for a missing child in an abduction situation.

A briefing was held at 9 a.m. for the responders participating in the training. After the briefing, police and rescue personnel scoured two area parks for the child abduction drill.

Piqua Police Department was a part of the team and hosted the opportunity for the team to test some of their functions.

The drill was a test of search-and-rescue resource coordination.

The Tri-County CART team is comprised of local, state, and federal agencies that operate in Darke, Miami, and Shelby Counties.

Saturday's exercise was the largest full-scale test Tri-County CART has ever performed.
