Mumford and Sons to play Troy

Troy, Ohio (WDTN) - The eclectic music group Mumford and Sons, described by Rolling Stone Magazine as an English Folk Rock Band, will visit Troy, Ohio this summer.
Troy city officials said the off-beat group is bringing their 2013 Mumford & Sons Gentlemen Of The Road Stopover to Troy, just one of three US venues the Grammy nominated group is playing.
According to the band, each Stopover is carefully chosen to be put on in towns not normally frequented by touring bands.
They say it will combine the intimacy of a community celebration with the excitement of a world-class music festival with camp-outs encouraged.
This year the Stopovers are expanding to a Friday night concert followed by an all-day Saturday event with an energetic roster of artists selected by the band themselves.
The Stopover Tour is Friday Aug. 30 and Sat. August 31. Tickets are $109 and go on sale Friday, Feb. 8 at 11AM.
