TROY, Ohio (WDTN) - Officials with the annual Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure announced Friday that the 2013 tour will feature a route in western Ohio.  From June 15- 22, approximately 2,500 cyclists will start in Urbana, then pedal through Troy, Greenville, New Bremen, Sidney, and then back to Urbana.

Riders will spend Sunday and Monday nights in Troy.  The city's Mayor made opening remarks at the Tin Roof Restaurant Friday.

"We anticipate a huge economic boom for the city of Troy," said Mayor Mike Beamish.  "Thousands of riders and their families will be here for two days, eating in our restaurants and visiting our shops.  Its exciting."

The tour is owned and organized by Columbus Outdoor Pursuits, a non-profit organization, for the benefit of bicycle-related projects in Ohio.
