MIAMI CO., Ohio (WDTN) - CareFlight was called to Miami County after a car slammed into a tree before 9 a.m. Sunday morning.
The accident happened in the 9400 block of Horseshoe Bend Road.
Officials said the driver lost control, hit a tree, and was thrown from the vehicle.
The driver was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital. He is in serious condition.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
According to officials, speed was likely a factor in the accident. They are looking into whether alcohol played a role in the crash.
Authorities are still investigating the crash.
