LAKEVIEW, Ohio (WDTN) - A woman claims she was raped by an employee at inside a gas station while shopping Monday night.

Logan county sheriff's deputies say 25 year old Gurwinder Singh is accused of rapping the victim at the Marathon Gas station on the 12-thousand block of state route 235 North in Lakeview.

Authorities said they got the call around 9 o'clock Monday night.

Logan County Sheriff Andrew Smith would not give specifics on the nature of the attack or if the victim had a previous relationship with Singh, due to the pending investigation.

The Indian Lake Boaters Associations is just next door.  Johnny Davis is an employee and can't believe something like that could happen so close.

"It's just shocking that something like that would happen right next door to where I work.  It supposedly even happened right there on the promises, and that's scary to think about that there's somebody there like that," Davis said.

2 NEWS spoke with a man claiming to be the manager of the gas station where it happened.  He said Singh no longer works for there.

Singh is currently behind bars.  Police say the investigation is still ongoing.
