Woman charged with October hit-and-run

RUSHSYLVANIA, Ohio (WDTN) - Logan County deputies say a woman was drunk and high when she struck and killed a teen.
Cathy Humphries is charged with vehicular homicide in the death of Austin Hauser, 15.
His body was found in a ditch alongside State Route 274 just north of Rushsylvania in October.
His mother spoke with 2 NEWS after the tragedy. She said she was crushed by the coldness of the act.
"Someone hit him with a car and left him there to die. Didn't come forward, didn't tell police, just left him somewhere along here to die," said Ellenna Houser, victim's mother at time of his death.
Humphries is also facing OVI and failure to stop charges.
She is now in the Logan County Jail until her first appearance in court.
