1 dead, 1 injured in single car crash

MARYSVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) - A Bellefontaine man was killed in a single car crash in Logan County Tuesday night.

Zachariah W. Keller, 24, drove off the road after cresting a hill on County Road 1 just south of County Road 29 and traveled down an embankment, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the Honda S2000 then struck a ditch and a utility pole before coning to rest in a field.

Keller was pronounced dead at the scene. investigators said he was not wearing a seat belt.

A passenger in the car, Colby D. Levan, 20, of Bellefontaine, was taken to Grant Medical Center in Columbus with what troopers said were non-life threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
