FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) - A crash late Monday night shut down a Fairborn road and knocked out power to more than 3,000 homes.

It happened on Powell Avenue around 10:00 p.m.

The driver of a pick-up truck crashed into a utility pole, which shut down Powell between Maple and Princeton Avenues.

DP&L crews spent the overnight hours restoring power to thousands in the area.

Bottles of alcohol littered the ground around the crash, but officials didn't say the driver was drinking at the time of the accident.

The driver was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, but officials reported he escaped without any serious injuries.

No word yet on any charges the driver could be facing.

All power had been restored to the area.
