BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) - Firefighters were called to an apartment building after reports of a balcony on fire early Monday morning.

They arrived at 3548 Onyx Circle in Beavercreek after 2:10 a.m.

Beavercreek Township Chief Scott Dorsten told us about twenty people were evacuated from their apartments.

The only people forced to stay elsewhere were the people who lived in the apartment where the flames started.

Chief Dorsten also said "We're fortunate the direction of the wind blew the fire back into the walls of the balcony, and held it in check."

Fire officials were still investigating what started the blaze.
