BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) - Wright Patterson Air Force Base is the largest single site employer in the state of Ohio. That is why company's like Riverside Research are not only doing well, but looking to fill approximately 10 positions.
"We always look for personnel getting out of the military or government," said Joel Rieman, who is the VP for the company's Intelligence and Information group. "We also look for entry-level engineers."
Riverside Research is an independent, non-profit institution that conducts research for the Department of Defense and Wright-Patt.
"We also do things as simple as teaching at the Air Force Institute of Technology or supporting curriculum development," said Rieman.
Its headquarters is based in New York, but Riverside Research has offices throughout the country. Beavercreek is one of its largest. It employs approximately 250 people, like Dan Kien, who is an electrical engineer for the company.
"Its a great company, good benefits, and I'm able to have a life outside work," said Kien.
Kien has been with the company for nearly two years, and said he plans to be for many more.
Riverside Research prides itself on investing in its employees and customers.
"We focus on two things," said Rieman. "We focus on the people we work for and the mission that we have to do."
Riverside Research is one of atleast seven companies that will be at the annual Dayton Engineering, technology, and security clearance expo at the Hope Hotel at Wright Patterson Air Force Base on January 30 from 10 a.m.. until 3 p.m..
