SUGARCREEK TWP., Ohio (WDTN) - A new police chief was sworn into office Tuesday evening in Sugarcreek Township.
Mike Brown took the oath of office as fellow police officers filled the seats at the Board of Trustee's meeting.
Chief Brown is a 30-year veteran of law enforcement. He most recently served as deputy chief in Riverside.
"I look forward to starting here, creating a new family and working as a team with the Sugarcreek Township folks," said Chief Brown.
Brown replaces James Denton who resigned in January citing personal reasons.
