Local Walmarts turn on the solar power

XENIA, Ohio (WDTN) - Several area Walmart stores are going solar.

The retail giant installed solar arrays atop stores that began producing power Monday.

Stores in Xenia, Greenville, Middletown and Franklin have the new power source.

Walmart says the new panels will increase Ohio's total solar power generation by 10-percent.

The Walmart project is the state's largest single solar power user.
