BELLBROOK, Ohio (WDTN) - With military precision, they're mission for the last two months has been collecting canned goods -- and collect they did.
The Air Force Junior ROTC cadets from Bellbrook High School have been going door-to-door to all their local neighborhoods this holiday season.
"Getting up on Saturdays might be hard," Bellbrook H.S,. Junior Kara Eckley admitted. "But knowing that we're helping out people who need food is a great feeling."
"We had one lady who actually gave us four whole Kohl's bags full of groceries because she was renovating, so that was really nice to know that would go to people who needed it most," said Sophomore katie Reuber.
All the food collected goes to a food pantry to give to families who are less fortunate during the holidays.
