FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) - They lay their lives on the line while serving our country, but when veterans come back to civilian life finding a job can be challenging.
A job fair was held on Wednesday at the Nutter Center with more than 100 employers looking to hire veterans.
"We have been fairly successful in the past. We feel like if we can come to a job fair and walk away with like two or three solid candidates. We're really happy about that," said employer Mark Cook.
Veterans who spoke with 2 News expressed gratitude for such an event and the opportunity to meet employers face to face.
Another job fair will be held in April. Stay with 2 News for details on that event.
