Funeral services set for Maddock

FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) - Funeral services were announced Tuesday for the Fairborn native killed in Afghanistan.

Christina Maddock, 27, died February 18 at a hospital in Germany.  She was working as a contractor in Afghanistan when she was shot.  The military is still investigating her death.

The family will receive friends at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home in Fairborn on Friday, March 1 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.  The funeral home is located at 422 East Dayton-Yellow Springs Road.

Her funeral is Saturday, March 2 at 4:00 pm at the Victory Temple at 2443 Valle Greene Drive in Fairborn.

Maddock will be buried with full military honors in Florida on Tuesday.

Maddock was working for Colorado-based Intelligent Software Solutions at the time of her death.  She was also an active member of the Ohio Air National Guard.

She was a graduate of Fairborn High School and Wright State University.

A memorial fund has been established in Maddock's name.  You can contribute at any Fifth Third Bank location.
