Folks hit the pavement to cure muscular dystrophy

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) - Over 300 people took part in a 5K walk and run in Beavercreek to raise money to find a cure for muscular dystrophy.
Gunnar Listerman passed away August 13, 2012 from complications from Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Family and friends organized a 5K Saturday to celebrate his life and raise money for research.
Folks all the way from Iowa to Florida traveled to Beavercreek's Rotary Park to show their support for Gunnar.
All proceeds from Saturday's 5K will go towards finding a cure for muscular dystrophy. Organizers project to raise $25,000.
Duchenne muscular dystrophy is the most common genetic muscle disease among children.
