WILBERFORCE, Ohio (WDTN) - Central State University's first woman president was sworn in at an inaugural ceremony, March 7.
Dr. Cynthia Jackson-Hammond is the university's eighth president in its 125 year history.
Central State University is one of the nation's oldest historically black universities.
Dr. Hammond began her career in higher education in 1987 as an instructor/coordinator of developmental reading at the University of Louisiana, Monroe.
Most recently, she was a lead consultant for H&H Educational Consultants, specializing in strategic planning, curriculum design, accreditation, and standards-based assessments.
