FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) - The now infamous basket-brawl in Fairborn reached its final conclusion Tuesday.
The man responsible, Devon Stidham-Hamilton, was sentenced for an assault charge.
He will spend 180 days in jail and must pay a $1,000 fine. He must also pay $1,600 in restitution and serve 300 hours of community service.
Stidham-Hamilton leapt from the stands of a Fairborn High School basketball game back in January, starting a scuffle on the court.
It left a player, Austin McCoy, with multiple facial fractures.
McCoy spoke in court Tuesday afternoon. He told Hamilton that he forgave him for the assault.
The judge, however, was not as forgiving, calling Hamilton an "arrogant thug".
Our Jackie Sprague was in the courtroom. She's live on 2 NEWS at 6:00 pm with more on the sentencing.
