DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Police barricaded a city block Saturday afternoon after they received reports that a man was going to jump off of the ninth floor of a building.

Around 1 p.m. Saturday, a man sat on the ledge of his ninth floor window at the corner of Wilkinson and 5th Street in Dayton.

Dayton police quickly blocked off the surrounding streets as people stood by giving the man words of encouragement.

Police eventually talked the man back inside the building and the roadways were opened shortly thereafter.
