DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The NAACP launched an investigation Monday into the shooting death of a Dayton man.
Dante Price died on March 1st after two security guards opened fire.
The guards say Price refused to leave the Summit Square Townhouses and tried to run them over with his car.
Price's family is demanding the guards be charged with murder.
The NAACP says it won't make any recommendations until its own investigation is complete, but promises justice will be served.
"We have a call to action and we're going to ensure that we hold those responsible accountable," said Derrick Foward, President of NAACP Dayton Unit.
No one has been charged at this point of the investigation.
Homicide detectives have been meeting with prosecutors about the shooting and going through evidence.
The following people have recently been booked into Jail. They may not have been convicted of the crimes they are charged with and are innocent until proven guilty.
