DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A trial date is now set for a Dayton teacher accused of striking a student in a wheelchair.

Georgia Cox was in court Tuesday.   She is charged with assault by a caretaker.

Investigators say Cox hit a 16-year old student in the cafeteria at Meadowdale High School back in October 2012.

Her trial is now set to start June 24.

She could spend up to 18-months in jail if convicted.
