Dayton teacher charged with assault

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A Dayton teacher accused of striking a disabled student has now been charged with assault.

Georgia Cox was booked into the Montgomery County Jail Tuesday afternoon.

She is accused of striking a 16-year old Meadowdale High School student who is confined to a wheelchair.

The October 10th incident was caught on a video tape that was never released to the media.

Cox is also on administrative leave from the Dayton Public Schools.
