NEW MADISON, Ohio (WDTN) - People were forced to evacuate their apartments in downtown New Madison early Friday morning.
Construction crews hit a natural gas line on Main Street and Washington around 1:00 a.m.
Families in a nearby apartment building were evacuated as a precaution.
Vectren was called to repair the gas line.
Three families were staying at the Tri-Village Fire Department.
No one was hurt.
