Woman sexually assaulted in home

NEW CARLISLE, Ohio (WDTN) - Clark County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a sexual assault in New Carlisle.

Investigators were called to the victim's home on Orth Drive on Saturday.

The female victim told investigators she had been sexually assaulted.

According to a news release issued by the Clark County Sheriff's Office, the victim reported that she woke up to a man standing inside her bedroom. The suspect told the victim what his intentions were and that he would “cut” her if she screamed.  The victim reported that she was sexually assaulted by the suspect and then he left the residence.

The victim was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center.

The incident is still under investigation.
