NEW CARLISLE, Ohio (WDTN) - A driver lost control of his car early Wednesday morning, and crashed into a church in New Carlisle.
Clark County Sheriff's deputies were called to First United Methodist Church on South Main Street around 1:45 a.m.
The driver, 28-year-old Jeremiah McClure, crashed into a street lamp before landing in between a brick pillar and the church.
A tow truck came to remove the car around 2:30 a.m.
We talked to the church's pastor, Jeff Burdsall who said this isn't the first time an accident like this has happened.
He said the church's main doors are still in tact and this weekend's services will happen as usual.
Deputies told us the McClure is facing charges for OVI, failure to control, and open container.
