SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - A Dayton man was indicted Tuesday after police say a baby he was watching was burned by candle wax.

William Ham is accused of leaving two children, ages 3 months and 18 months, alone in the bedroom of a Springfield home.

The incident happened last January.

Investigators say the children were left alone for about ten minutes, but they were well within reach of a burning candle.

The 3 month old was treated for burns on her stomach, chest, leg and foot.

Doctors say they also found a rib fracture.
