ENON, Ohio (WDTN) - It is now official. A portion of Interstate 70 in Clark County is now named for a fallen deputy.
Governor John Kasich signed the bill into law Friday.
It names I-70 between Interstate 675 and Enon Road, the Deputy Suzanne Hopper Memorial Highway.
Deputy Hopper was killed in the line of duty New Year's Day 2011 during a shootout at Enon Beach.
Kasich says highway dedication is a way to remember her service and celebrate her life.
