SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - A new project by the Clark County Waste Management District will debut on Tuesday, October 23 with the unveiling of the new community cleanup trailer.

The community cleanup trailer will be made available to any neighborhood or community groups who are volunteering to cleanup parks, vacant lots or public spaces. The trailer will have the necessary tools for the job including, law mowers, weed trimmers, edgers, shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, and other tools for landscaping and beautification

The Clark County Waste Management District said it will deliver the trailer to a site and pick it up after the cleanup is done. Groups may have the trailer for a maximum of 3 days. The trailer will be available March 15 through November 15, not during the winter months.

Two-thirds of the funding for the trailer has been provided by a $9,000 grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Recycling and Litter Prevention. The Clark County Waste Management District provided a 50% match of the state grant.

In order to schedule use of the new trailer, interested volunteer groups should contact the Clark County Waste Management District at 521-2022.
