CLARK CO., Ohio (WDTN) - The public got it's first look at a new proposal to cut down on deadly wrecks in Clark County.

State Route 235 and Route 41 in Pike Township is the concern.  The Ohio Department of Transportation believes a roundabout could make the intersection safer.

ODOT representatives held a meeting Tuesday evening to explain the proposal and get feedback from residents.

"I've seen some of the results.  I've actually seen trucks of the road and you see the crosses of people that lost their lives and yea that makes you stop and think about it," said Patti Stewart, Clark County resident.

ODOT is accepting comments through February 28.  It will make its decision about a roundabout sometime after.

ODOT plans to review all of the comments which can be submitted through February 28th before making a final decision.
