NEW CARLISLE, Ohio (WDTN) - A New Carlisle woman who told investigators she was "off her meds and does crazy things,” was arrested Friday morning on charges of making false alarms and inducing panic.

The Clark County Sheriff's Office reports that Angela M. Butler, 44, called 911 and said the Rite Aid store in Park Layne had been robbed, when in fact, the store was not robbed.

Dispatchers tracked the call to the area of 1300 block of W. Lake Ave. where a deputy found Butler with the traced cell phone.

Butler who was suspected in at least nine other incidents of calling 911 and reporting serious crimes, admitted to repeated false calls to 911.

Deputies said one of her previous false reports caused the lock down of New Carlisle Elementary school.

Butler is being held in the Clark County Jail.
