2 children escape injury in fatal crash

CHAMPAIGN CO., Ohio (WDTN) - The Champaign County Sheriff's Department is investigating a fatal car crash.

It happened around 4:30 pm Monday in the 6500 block of Zimmerman Road in Mad River Township.

Mirada Biniarz, 20, Springfield, died.  Investigators say she was driving southbound when she lost control and struck a guardrail.

She was removed to Urbana Mercy Hospital, where she died.

Three other people were passengers in Biniarz' car.  Bryan Hall, 22, of Springfield, a 3 year old girl and a 3 month old male were all treated and released.
