MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WDTN) - Middletown police released dramatic photos Wednesday of a violent laundromat attack.
The attempted robbery and assault happened at the Mid-Town Laundry at 2225 North Verity Parkway on March 17 at 7:50.

Police say David Jones, 57, was leaving the laundry when he was suddenly attacked from behind. The suspect ran up behind Jones with a stick and started hitting him without saying a word.
Jones was able to fight the man off. The suspect jumped into a small, red, four door car and fled.
Police describe the suspect as a man in his 40s or 50s wearing a long black jacket, blue jeans and work boots. He was also wearing glasses, had a goatee and was balding.
Jones was treated at the hospital for his injuries.
