MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WDTN) - A traffic stop led Middletown police to a suspected meth lab Monday evening.

Officers were trying to stop a pickup with license plates that had an active warrant.

Investigators say the truck pulled in to the driveway at 1724 Brentwood Street.  A man bolted into the house, while the driver, Chelsie Peck, 22, spoke with police.

Officers then searched the home and found what they believed to be a working methamphetamine lab.

The Special Operations Unit the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Middletown Fire Department were called in to dispose of the lab.

Chelsie Peck, who lives at the address, is charged with permitting drug abuse.  The man who ran into the house has not been located.

Call Middletown Police if you have any information about this case at 513-425-7731.
