OSP finds ecstacy after traffic stop

WAPAKONETA, Ohio (WDTN) - An Alabama man faces drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers stopped him for speeding.

Troopers found 98 ecstasy pills worth $1,700 after they stopped Louis Williams, 33, on Saturday, February 23 along Interstate 75 in Auglaize County.  They also found stolen documents and a handgun.

Troopers say they found the gun in the suspect's front pocket.  The drugs and documents were found inside the car as was a small amount of marijuana.

Williams is in the Auglaize County Jail charged with drug possession and carrying a concealed weapon.

He faces up to 15-years in prison and a $30,000 fine if convicted.
