WAPAKONETA, Ohio (WDTN) - Seven suspects were recently arrested on drug charges in Auglaize County.
Sheriff Al Solomon told 2 NEWS the arrests were the result of a six month investigation involving the sale of heroin and marijuana.
Adam Roberts, 23, of St. Marys; Mitchell Newbauer, 20, of St. Marys; Josh Cox, 30, of St. Marys; Julia Beckett, 24, of St. Marys; Codie Shirk, 22, of St. Marys; Lonnie Spence, 22, of Celina; Justin Rogers, 29, of Wapakoneta were taken into custody Jan. 30. by the Auglaize/Mercer County Grand Lake Drug Task Force, St. Marys Police, Wapakoneta Police, and the Minster Police.
“All members of the Task Force are doing a fantastic job in the battle of the drug problem, Solomon said. "Heroin continues to be a problem drug in this area.”
Solomon said further arrests are anticipated as the investigation continues.
