Expect gas prices to keeping rising

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Consumer analysts are now saying gas prices could jump by 60 cents or more a gallon by May.

If that holds true, prices should peak at $4.05 a gallon, though it could be higher in some cities.

Prices usually rise in the spring with higher demand and seasonal changes in gasoline formulations.

Unrest in the Middle East could also push the cost up higher.

In Dayton, the price of gas has risen nearly ten cents in the past week to an average of $3.45.

Nationwide, prices have increased to $3.43.
