Eco-Rehabarama features green living

HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) - As part of Montgomery County's Neighborhood Stabilization Program, and in partnership with CountyCorp's The Housing Source, the Home Builders Association of Dayton announced the first Eco-Rehabarama in May of 2012 in the community of Huber Heights.

In the nineteen year history of Rehabarama home shows; this is the first time the show has taken place outside the City of Dayton.

Ten nearly historical homes located in one of the original sections of Huber Heights, Ohio will be rehabilitated to meet or exceed today's standards for safe, comfortable, efficient and sustainable living. These once abandoned or foreclosed homes will be totally reconstructed inside to include:  high efficiency windows, high density insulation, state of the art  mechanical systems including heating, ventilation and air conditioning, new electrical systems and security systems, water efficient plumbing systems, and, Energy Star appliances.

The Eco-Rehabarama event will take place May 11-13 & May 18-20 with special events such as green living and eco educational programs and special events taking place at each home. The homes will be marketed and sold by CountyCorp's The Housing Source Signature Homes for occupancy at the conclusion of the show.
The homes will sell for $95,000 to $125,000 each.
