Police seek suspect robbing mosques

MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) - Miamisburg Police hope you can help officers track down a suspect accused of stealing from mosques.

Officers released a surveillance video of the suspect inside the Islamic Mosque on Alex Road.

They say he stole a donation box with $3,000 inside.

Police believe he is no stranger to crime.

"He didn't just commit this in Miamisburg.  An identical theft similar in nature occurred at a mosque in West Chester, Ohio a short time after ours," said Detective Jason Threlkeld, Miamisburg Police Department.

Police say the suspect was driving a Chevy Z-71 Silverado pickup up truck built between 2005 and 2010.  It has an extended cab with a white and gray zigzag down both sides.
