DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The past week has been a violent one in Dayton. Six homicides in six days and it all began with a young mother gunned down in front of her two children.
Amelia Miles can't get that horrific image out of her head. Her sister Jillian Miles dying as her two small children, a one year old girl and two year old boy, watched helplessly.
"She suffered and whoever did this will suffer too. In whatever way in their mind. If they never get caught I'm sure they had to see those children sitting there," said Amelia Miles, victim's sister.
And that's what's most disturbing to her.. and Dayton Police.
Authorities found the 27-year old the evening of February 19, lying near the front door on west Parkwood Drive with multiple gunshot wounds. Amelia watched it all unfold on the news.
"It's just sad that everyone is dying. And she just had too much to love for and she had kids and now they're going to grow up without a mother."
The suspect is described as a black male, thin build, 5'-7" to 5'-10", short hair, baggy jeans, wearing a dark jacket with a lighter colored bird like emblem on the back which covered shoulder to shoulder.
