Local theater for and from the family

Harold Hill is striking up the band in Beavercreek as Serendipity Stage Productions presents it's very first stage production “The Music Man,” presented August 3-5 in the Beavercreek High School Alumni Auditorium.

The director of the show, and founder of Serendipity Stage Productions is Sandy Focht, a retired Beavercreek City School’s teacher and play director.

The cast and crew features about 50 current and former Beavercreek City School students and Beavercreek residents with a lot of families involved on stage and behind the scenes.

Focht’s daughter, Jen Focht, is the assistant director, Joyce Carter, is sharing the experience with her husband, Rob, and their daughters Amanda and Vanessa.

With the school levy failing and budget cuts looming over the high school's theater department. Sandy hopes to combine resources with Serendipity so both groups can thrive.

Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings with a matinee on Sunday.

Cost: $12 for adults and $8 for children.
