Dayton, Ohio (WDTN) - The new regional dispatch center in Miamisburg is not taking 911 emergency calls.

Those calls have been transferred over to the old center downtown while officials determine what caused delays in responding to Thursday's fire in Harrison Township.

Witnesses said they called 911 several times when flames broke out in the 2400 block of Wheeler Avenue, but it took fire crews 15 minutes to get the scene.

Thursday was the first day the regional dispatch took calls county-wide.

The old dispatch center downtown is still operational and answering all 911 calls for 20 police departments and 11 fire departments.

The Miamisburg center is still handling all seven-digit incoming calls.
