DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Police have arrested the man they say is the "one-legged burglar" that broke into an Oregon District restaurant four nights in a row.
Police say Owen Robinson is the same man caught on surveillance tape wheeling himself through the parking lot of Franco's Ristorante Italian on East Fifth Street in the Oregon District four nights in a row this week.
Franco's surveillance cameras first captured the suspect December 7 leaving his wheelchair at the door, then hopping through the restaurant looking for things to steal.
Franco's owner Franco Germano said in the four burglaries, Robinson destroyed a computer and stole cash and wine.
Germano said he's happy this arrest should keep the suspect off the street, and out of his restaurant.
"I'm very happy. You can probably tell from yesterday to today I'm probably more relaxed," he said. "Now I can probably sleep and not worry about the phone ringing in the middle of the night."
Robinson is charged with breaking and entering.
