DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - From politics to a heart-healthy recipe book, 2 News Today has the 5 things you need to know for Tuesday, February 7, 2012.

1. Colorado, Minnesota, and Missouri hold primary elections today to help select the Republican candidate for president.

2. Republican candidate Newt Gingrich speaks Tuesday at Memorial Hall in Dayton at 2;30 p.m.

3. A kickoff for Black History Month will be held Tuesday night at 6 p.m. at Wright State University's student union. 

4.  Ohio will be participating in the Great Central U.S. Shakeout with an earthquake drill at 10:15 a.m. 

5. The American Heart Association releases its book, "Recipes for the Heart" at grocery stores nationwide as part of its Go Red for Women month.
