DARKE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) - Sheriff deputies warn Darke county residents of a telephone scam.

Deputies said people have been getting calls claiming there's a problem with their debit card from a local Greenville bank.

The automated message asks people for their debit card number. Deputies said the call is fake and you should not give out any personal banking information.

If you think you might have given out your information call your local police department.
