DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The Ohio State marching band did something a little more than perform ‘Script Ohio” and sing the OSU alma-mater at this weekend's game in Columbus. They wowed the crowd and the World Wide Wed with an awesome tribute to video games. That performance, seen in person by tens of thousands of people, has already racked up more than a million views on YouTube.
Our very own Sports Director, Jack Pohl , is an avid video game player. It’s not uncommon to see him playing games on his iPod, PS2 or even having a in-depth conversation with a fellow 2 NEWS videographer about the past weekends video game marathon at home.
This past weekend, "The Best Damn Band In The Land" gave a performance unlike anything Jack has ever seen.
"I can honestly say that was the best half-time show I have ever seen” Jack said.
This 100th anniversary and homecoming night was special and the band wanted perform something special.
Their performance has since gone viral on the internet.
